Questions & Answers / Clarifications

This document provides responses to vendor questions regarding the FOSM Exterior Fire Staircase Replacement project.

• Handrail/Guardrail Pricing: Offerors are not required to price the option of reusing existing handrails and guardrails; this is at the contractor's discretion without additional pricing or scope adjustments.
• Bonding Requirements: The only required bonding is a Payment Bond or Irrevocable Letter of Credit (100% of contract value) due within 10 days after award. No bid bond is required.
• Prior Experience: The "Prior Experience" requirement refers to performing selective demolition and metal work, not mill and overlay repair for flexible pavement. This appears to be a typo in the original checklist.
• Due Date Extension: An amendment will be issued to extend the solicitation quote due date.
• CMU Construction: Interior photos show "half block" CMU construction with a solid brick veneer on the exterior. Photos can be provided upon request.
• Brick Type: The exterior brick is solid brick.
• Second Floor Landing Anchoring: The second-floor landing is anchored through the exterior brick into the concrete floor of the second-floor office space using an epoxy anchoring product.
