This project will consist of reconditioning and resurfacing approximately 4.00 miles on FSR 535 and the removal and replacement of 6 culverts on FSR 535 and FSR 536. Optional work items A and B include reconditioning and resurfacing of approximately 1.41 additional miles on FSR 535.
Reconditioning work will consist of redefining ditch lines, shoulders, the roadbed and roadway, and the aggregate surface of the road. For crushed aggregate surfacing the project will utilize a government material source located at Big Draw Pit which is accessed from FSR 231B, approximately 9 miles from the junction of FSR 535 and AZ-89A. Bedding Material and Structural Backfill for culvert installations shall be obtained from commercial sources. Removed culverts shall be hauled off government lands and disposed of in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations, per FP-14 Section 203.05.
