Scope of Work
The contractor will provide all necessary supplies, personnel, equipment, tools, materials, and supervision to install low-profile utility bodies on two 2024 Dodge Ram 3500 Tradesman chassis (VINs specified in Attachment 2). The installation must adhere to Forest Service specifications Class 273, utilizing Six Rivers Equipment numbers EN-1264 and EN-1263. All materials must conform to applicable Federal specifications and standards.
Key Requirements
Detailed construction specifications include:
- Substructure: One-piece continuous torsion-box frame.
- Body Fabrication: Minimum A-40 galvaneal steel.
- Compartments: Lower rear and both sides with integral drip rail, weather-tight, and two adjustable divider tracks per compartment.
- Doors: Double panel lap type, vertically hinged with over-center spring checks and 3-point locking T-handles; horizontally hinged with heavy-duty chain and locking T-handles.
- Bed Floor: 1/8" diamond plate steel, completely flat.
- Lighting & Protection: Full-length LED strip lighting in compartments, 1/8-inch-thick polished aluminum tread plate body protection panels.
- Tailgate & Bumper: 12"H fold-down tailgate, diamond plate rear bumper (no hitch recess).
- Finishing: Protective/non-skid coating (Line-X or equivalent) on top exterior, bed area, and interior tailgate. Full undercoating and finish paint to match the cab.
- Accessories: Electronic audible back-up alarm, Class 4 receiver hitch with 7-way flat pin plug, and installation of a Government-provided back-up camera.
Contract Details
- Contract Type: Firm-fixed price Request for Quotation (RFQ).
- Period of Performance: April 14, 2026, to July 10, 2026.
- Delivery Date: July 10, 2026.
- Place of Performance: Eureka, CA 95501. If the vendor is within 150 miles of Redding, CA, the Government will handle chassis delivery and pickup. Otherwise, the vendor is responsible for transportation.
- Warranty: Five (5) year warranty on materials and workmanship.
