Quick Summary

The Department of the Air Force, specifically FA5000 673 CONS LGC, has issued a Combined Synopsis/Solicitation for the repair and replacement of the roof on Building 10571. This Design-Build project targets a historic, 68,986 square foot facility. This opportunity is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. A site visit is scheduled for June 8, 2026, at 1:00 PM (Local Time), and proposals are due by June 26, 2026.

Scope of Work

This project involves the comprehensive removal and replacement of the existing built-up roof (BUR) on Building 10571. The building, constructed in the early 1940s, is a historic property spanning 68,986 square feet. The scope includes the main 50,000 SF high barrel roof section and three low-slope lean-to sections (North: 36-ft by 268-ft, South: 36-ft by 229-ft, West: 36-ft by 180-ft). The work requires removing the existing BUR down to the structural decking. New roofing assemblies will include a 3-ply SBS-Modified BUR roof with a granular cap sheet for the barrel section and new 90-mil Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer (EPDM) roof assemblies for the three lean-to sections. All roofing assemblies must be fully adhered. Additionally, the project mandates the replacement of existing roof drains, flashings, vent pipe flashing, cover board, insulation, vapor barrier, cant strips, metal copings, and trim with new components.
