This project involves the comprehensive removal and replacement of the existing built-up roof (BUR) on Building 10571. The scope includes the main 50,000 SF high barrel roof section and three low-slope lean-to sections (North: 36-ft by 268-ft, South: 36-ft by 229-ft, West: 36-ft by 180-ft). The work requires removing the existing BUR down to the structural decking. New roofing assemblies will include a 3-ply SBS-Modified BUR roof with a granular cap sheet for the barrel section and new 90-mil Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer (EPDM) roof assemblies for the three lean-to sections. All roofing assemblies must be fully adhered. Additionally, the project mandates the replacement of existing roof drains, flashings, vent pipe flashing, cover board, insulation, vapor barrier, cant strips, metal copings, and trim with new components.
