Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

To provide non-personal laundry and linen services for the Columbus Medical Group (CMDG) at Columbus Air Force Base (CAFB), Mississippi.

• Provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, and services for bulk laundry and linen services.

• Services include pick-up, proper handling, laundering, and delivery of items.

• Items are to be individually bagged based on quantity and item type.

• Contractor shall establish and maintain a system of records for work performed.

• Services must comply with current state and federal requirements for linen cleaning, including AAAHC, DHA Procedures Manual (DHA-PM) 6430.02, and Infection and Exposure Control Program standards.

• Laundry must be delivered clean, free from visible dirt, debris, dampness, offensive odors, mildew, and chemical residue.

• All clean linen must be protectively wrapped to avoid contamination.

• All returned items must be packaged.

• All items must be sanitized.

• Pickup and delivery schedules must be met (no more than two late deliveries per month for routine deliveries).

• Correct quantities of laundry must be delivered (no more than five items difference from original number sent).

• Contractor must provide appropriate training for employees handling medical linen, including proper hygiene, PPE use, and bloodborne pathogen awareness.

• Employees must receive appropriate Hepatitis B vaccine or signed waiver.

• Vehicles used for transportation must be clean, conform to commercial standards, and be equipped to protect against contamination. Vehicle interiors must be cleaned and sanitized after transporting soiled laundry.
