Purpose
This notice is for preliminary planning purposes only and is NOT a Request for Proposal (RFP) or Invitation for Bid (IFB). No contract will be awarded from this announcement. The government seeks information from all industry members, including Small Business, Section 8(a), HUB-Zone, SDVOSB, ED/WOSB, and WOSB, to determine acquisition strategy.
Scope of Work
The project involves dredging approximately 450,000 cubic yards of the Brazos Island Harbor Entrance and Jetty Channels. This includes:
- Hopper dredging of BIH Entrance Channel (station -13+000 to -6+00) with an estimated volume of 125,000 CY.
- Hopper dredging of BIH Jetty Channel (station -6+000 to 0+000) with an estimated volume of 225,000 CY.
- Placement Area: Near Shore Feeder Berm 1A/1B.
- Options: Five projected options, including Sea Turtle Trawling (Options 1-3, 5) and Beach Placement at two locations on South Padre Island (Option 4). Dredging and beach placement are subject to environmental windows for swimming and nesting sea turtles.

- Estimated Construction Price Range: $5,000,000 to $10,000,000.

- Period of Performance: 120 calendar days after Notice to Proceed (NTP). Options add 14 calendar days if awarded.
