Qualification Criteria

Underwriters require technical competence and experience in insurance policy design, risk classification, or agricultural risk management, evidenced by 10+ years as a crop insurance underwriter, 15+ years in related property/casualty underwriting, 15+ years as an agricultural risk management consultant, or a Ph.D. in agricultural economics or a related field with post-doctoral work.
