Scope of Work
The contractor will be responsible for supplying, replacing, and installing various elevator components. Key items include:
- Non-periphery MCE control and MCE leveling system
- Power unit motor
- Key activated fixtures (Best Key flat type)
- Car operating panel, GAL door operator, GAL Interlocks, and GAL hoist door hangers
- All new travel and hoist cable wiring
- Car guide rollers (replaced or repaired)
- All electronics and electronic wiring
Work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, excluding Federal holidays. All work will be performed at FCI Gilmer.
Contract Details & Requirements
This is a Combined Synopsis/Solicitation. Award will be made on a line-item basis to the responsive and responsible vendor offering the best value to the Government. Past Performance will be considered approximately equal in value to price.
Bidders must ensure their registration in SAM.gov is active and up-to-date. Required submission documents include a completed Standard Form (SF) 1449 (blocks 17a, 20, 30a, 30b, 30c) and attached quote sheets. Offeror name and UEI number must be in the header of quote sheets and in block 20 of SF 1449. Original signatures are mandatory.
Site Visit & Security
An onsite visit will be held on January 28, 2026, at 1:00 PM EST. Attendance requires completion and submission of a Criminal History Check (NCIC form) to the Contracting Officer (Jessica Hutchison at J2Hutchison@bop.gov) as soon as possible for approval. No offerors will be permitted entry without an approved NCIC clearance. Attendees must bring valid ID, and all items will be X-rayed. Prohibited items include cell phones and other electronics. Contractors must be familiar with correctional facility working regulations, including security checks and material delivery protocols.
Submission & Evaluation
Quotations must be submitted via email to j2hutchison@bop.gov. Faxed or hand-carried quotes will not be accepted. Quotes received after the deadline will be processed per FAR 52.212-1(f). Failure to meet RFQ requirements may result in negative Past Performance Information.
