Scope of Work

  • Debris Collection: Collecting floating debris, cutting it into approximately 26-foot lengths, removing root balls, and offloading onto Government barges at Hiram M. Chittenden Locks. Reporting of debris tonnage and composition is required.
  • Equipment Handling: Removing and installing equipment within the small lock and dams at Hiram M. Chittenden Locks.

The crane must have a minimum reach and lifting capacity of 10,000 lbs at 70 feet and 20,000 lbs at 40 feet (or 20 tons after floating plant deductions). Both must comply with EM 385-1-1.
  • Personnel: Vessel Captain/Master must hold a Merchant Mariner Credential, Crane Operator must be licensed, and deckhands/riggers must be properly trained.
  • Work Schedule: Ten-hour days, Monday through Friday, between 0700-1730.
  • Cybersecurity: Contractors must meet applicable Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) level.
