Quick Summary
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) / NASA Shared Services Center (NSSC) intends to issue a sole source contract for the FY26 Total Materia Renewal. The contractor will provide an annual "Total Materia Basic Package + Extended Range + SmartComp + Material Console + Compliance" corporate license. This includes seamless electronic access to the Materials Database for NASA personnel and on-site contractors, offering a web-based, user-friendly architecture with comprehensive search capabilities. The database serves as a one-stop shop for engineering materials information, featuring built-in tools and covering multiple material groups (metals, non-metals, coatings, lubricants, adhesives, substances) and properties (general, advanced, additional data like welding, corrosion, compliance). Key tools include unknown metals identification, compliance assessments, data tracking, material comparison, and similar materials search. The database content must be updated monthly, comply with Section 508, and adhere to quality control procedures. The contractor must provide advance notice for downtime, immediate notification of inaccessibility, and 24/7 technical customer support, including unlimited web-based training.
