Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

• Period of Performance: Work must be completed no later than September 30, 2026.

• Site Visit: Prospective offerors are responsible for visiting the jobsite prior to submitting their quote, as no organized site visit tour is scheduled.

• Estimated Price Range: Between $25,000 and $100,000.

• Submittal Procedures: Allow at least ten (10) working days for submittals for Contracting Officer approval. Variations from contract requirements need Government approval.

• Site Clean Up: The Contractor must keep the work site free of waste and rubbish daily, minimize disturbance, and remove all excess material, waste, and rubbish before final acceptance.

• General Specifications: Includes requirements for handling existing facilities, pollution and erosion control, coordination with district operations and other contractors, worksite cleanliness, equipment specifications, weather conditions, sanitary facilities, and notification procedures.

• Hauling and Disposal: All loads must be covered during hauling, and materials removed from the site must be disposed of legally off National Forest System lands at the Contractor's expense.

• Existing Utilities: The Contractor is responsible for locating all utilities and repairing any damaged utilities at their expense.

• Food and Garbage Storage: Strict requirements for storing food and attractants to prevent bear encounters.

• Fire Control: Contractor is responsible for contractor-caused fires. Requirements include providing fire tools, extinguishers, and adhering to specific precautions for smoking, storage of flammable products, stoves, and welding. A fire prevention and suppression plan will be jointly prepared.

• Noxious Weed Control: Equipment must be cleaned of dirt and plant materials before mobilizing onto National Forest lands and will be subject to Forest Service inspection.

• Security and Protection: Contractor is responsible for security, limiting access, providing secure storage, and ensuring barricades and traffic control devices comply with MUTCD standards. Maintenance of traffic and protection of improvements are also required.

A Government-furnished power shed will be provided.
