Quick Summary
The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is soliciting quotations for a Gas Chromatograph system with Flame Ionization Detector (FID) and Pulsed Discharge Helium Ionization Detector (PDHID). This acquisition is for full and open competition to support the development of primary standards for "zero gas" semiconductor and electronics-grade gases. Award will be made to the lowest priced, technically acceptable (LPTA) offeror. Quotations are due by April 13, 2026, at 12:00 PM Eastern Time.
Scope of Work
The requirement is for one (1) new Gas Chromatograph system, including specific technical components such as a 6-port gas sampling valve with heating, a pneumatically actuated heart cut valve, helium mass spectrometer leak-tested valves, an injector, a micro-electrically actuated 12-position stream select valve, and a GC oven box with liquid nitrogen cooling capability. The system must also include software for control, data collection, analysis, and export with a permanent license, along with an operations and maintenance manual. The contractor will be responsible for installation, including unpacking, setup, hook-up, start-up, demonstration, and trash removal, as well as providing at least 2 hours of training for up to two NIST personnel. A one-year warranty covering parts, labor, and travel is required.
