• Vendor Waivers/Deviations: Requests for delivery date extensions or waivers/deviations must be accompanied by a detailed explanation and justification, demonstrating no adverse effect on quality, form, fit, or function. Supporting technical data is required for proposed alternate items.
• Mercury Exclusion: No mercury or mercury-containing compounds shall be intentionally added to or come into direct contact with hardware or supplies.

• Packaging: Specific clarifications are provided for MIL-PRF-23199 and MIL-DTL-24466 green poly bags, particularly concerning cleanliness control requirements (e.g., MIL-STD-767, MIL-STD-2041). Fire retardant packaging is no longer required. MIL-STD 2073 packaging applies.

Submission Requirements

• Reports: Submit a complete package of all applicable Vendor Certified Reports of Test and Inspection (ROTI) per DI-QCIC-8872 (latest revision) to NAVSUP-WSS, Code N9433. This package must align with the contract delivery schedule, and authorization to ship material must be obtained from the PCO. A separate package is required for each unique combination of Contract Number, National Stock Number, and Item Nomenclature.
