Scope of Work
The project involves the replacement of bearings and end shafts for four Westech Aerotors (Trains #1 through #4) at the Sandy Hook WWTP. Key tasks include:
- Providing and replacing bearings on both sides of the center shaft for all four Aerotors, adhering to Westech specifications.
- Inspecting and potentially replacing end shafts, also per Westech specifications. Existing end shafts, if not replaced, will be turned over to the COR.
- Operationally testing each train upon completion to ensure proper function.
- Providing all necessary labor, parts, and materials, and properly disposing of removed parts (least worn parts to be retained by the Park).
- Ensuring all work complies with applicable codes and manufacturer guidelines, including a full system inspection and start-up.
- Maintaining at least two Aerotor Trains operational at all times, with a maximum of two offline for no more than 3 consecutive days.
- The contractor must be qualified to work on the equipment, and parts must be from or approved by the manufacturer. The primary contractor must perform a minimum of 51% of the labor.
