Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

This document outlines the requirements for the overhaul of designated Emergency Diesel Generators ashore in a suitable repair facility.

• The contractor shall overhaul each designated Emergency Diesel Generator.

• The work involves initial inspection, shop work (including reconditioning, potential rewinding, and miscellaneous repairs), dynamic balancing, reassembly, cleaning, painting, preservation, packing, and marking.

• Insulation treatment for generators shall be of temperature Class F or better, and not less than the temperature class of the existing insulation system.

• The overhaul shall be performed in accordance with the Surface Forces Logistics Center (SFLC) Standard Specification 3101, "Overhaul AC Synchronous Machines, 2022".

• Specific sections of SFLC Std Spec 3101 are referenced for detailed procedures (e.g., initial inspection, shop work appendices, balancing, reassembly, shop acceptance testing, final assembly, clean and paint, preservation, packing, and marking).

• The overhaul is to be performed ashore in a suitable repair facility.

• Generators are to be shipped to a Contracted Repair Facility.

• Preservation and packaging are to protect the item against deterioration for a period of two (2) years minimum.

• Government-furnished property: None.

• References include Coast Guard Drawings (None), Coast Guard Publications (TP 3367-311-A Manufacturer's Instruction Book SWBS Group 312, and SFLC Std Spec 3101), and other references (None).

• Warranty: A standard manufacturer's warranty applies. Additionally, for items repaired as "onboard repair" or "system stock" and put into inventory (not for immediate installation), the contractor must guarantee the item against defects leading to failure for 90 days after installation, for a period of up to two (2) years after delivery to the Coast Guard.

• Government Acceptance: Will be made at destination by a Government representative, contingent upon verification of no damage in transit, correctness, completeness, and conformance to requirements.

• Cost Estimate for Overhaul: Not to exceed $22,750.
