Scope of Work

The contractor will provide annual inspection, testing, and monitoring services for twenty-two (22) fire alarm systems and twenty-three (23) water-based fire sprinkler systems located across various areas of Glacier National Park, including West Glacier, St Mary, Many Glacier, Two Medicine, East Glacier, and Walton. Services must comply with applicable National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards, specifically NFPA 72 (fire alarms) and NFPA 25 (sprinklers). The contractor is responsible for furnishing all travel, labor, materials, supervision, and equipment. Fieldwork for 2026 is tentatively scheduled for October 5-7, 2026.

Performance Requirements

Personnel performing inspections and testing must be NICET Level II certified for both fire alarm and water-based systems. The contractor is required to test all devices, verify reporting to alarm monitoring services, and document passing/failing devices and battery backups. Reports must identify each building by description, number, and location, and include NICET certification numbers. While the contractor reports identified issues, they are not required to perform maintenance, repairs, or field adjustments, except for immediate life and safety hazards. A management plan, including personnel certifications and inspection form templates, is required within 10 days of award or 10 days prior to inspections.
