• Hull: Constructed from welded HDPE sheet material (first use, gray, UV stabilized, PE 100 or equal). Specific dimensions include minimum length of 20', beam of 8.5-9 ft, transom deadrise of 10-12 degrees, and entry deadrise of 22-25 degrees. Minimum plating thicknesses are specified for bottom (20mm), sides (15mm), and deck (20mm). Requires at least three structural bulkheads, watertight forward collision bulkhead, and limbered aft bulkheads. Includes inspection hatches for below-deck access.

• Hull Outfitting: Features a forward keel wear plate, self-bailing main deck, self-draining storage/tie rails, bow step/anchor storage, heavy-duty rub rails, a heavy-duty tow post, engine crash guards with bull horns, a dive door, a bow roller for anchor line, a splash board/full transom, anti-skid deck coating, and electric/hydraulic trim tabs.

• Fuel System: Minimum capacity for 200 miles cruising range, non-integral tank with fill, vent, 12V sender, and fuel level gauge. Includes a catch basin for fuel spills and complies with U.S. diurnal emission standards.

• Wheelhouse/Center Console: Partially enclosed walk-around wheelhouse integrated into a leaning post, with access to decks. Features a control console with angled face, overhead radio bar, integrated storage, cup holder, grab rails, and a low-profile radar arch.

• Anchoring System: Includes storage for a 20 lb anchor with 30' chain and 150' line (anchor and rode provided by government).

• Electrical System: 12vDC system meeting or exceeding ABYC standards. Marine-grade copper tinned boat cable, heavy-duty IP67 rated switches, grounded system (hull not part of galvanic loop). Includes a 12V distribution panel with spares, battery switches, windshield wipers, and a 12V trumpet horn.

• Lighting: LED Navigation lights, red/white dome lights in wheelhouse, and four LED flood lights on the wheelhouse roof.

• Electronic Navigation: Government-supplied Furuno package. Includes DSC-capable marine VHF radio, 12-volt power circuit for a BK Radio KNG-M150, and a 4.5"-5" lighted compass.

• Safety Equipment: One 10lb B2 fire extinguisher, integrated handrails, and storage for a telescoping boat hook.

• Paint and Graphics: Vinyl graphics to be applied (details determined post-order), U.S. Coast Guard rating placard, and fire extinguisher location placards.

• Propulsion: Twin Mercury 75 HP SeaPro outboards with Mercury Vessel View engine display and hydraulic steering.

• Trailer: One galvanized bunk trailer rated for vessel weight +25%, with 2" ball receiver, manual strap winch, and heavy-duty tongue jack.

• Warranty: Extended 3-year engine and control system warranty.

• Documentation: Operator's manual, parts manual, shop repair/service manuals, and as-built boat/electrical drawings.

• Delivery: Within 240 days after award of contract to Alaska Marine Lines in Seattle, WA, for onward shipment to Glacier Bay National Park.

• Dealer Preparation: Includes final prep, testing, operation of all systems, and seatrials prior to shipping. Vessel to be weighed by certified scales.

This document is a Combined Synopsis/Solicitation (RFQ) issued by the National Park Service for the purchase of one 20' High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) Harbor Boat and Trailer for Glacier Bay National Park, Alaska. The government intends to award a firm-fixed-price purchase order. This announcement serves as the only solicitation, and a separate written solicitation will not be issued.
