Quick Summary
The National Park Service (NPS), under the Department of the Interior, is soliciting proposals for the replacement of pavement at the Lees Ferry Campground. This project involves overlaying existing paved surfaces, increasing width, and adding new paved parking areas. This is a Firm Fixed Price solicitation. Offers are due by March 18, 2026.
Scope of Work
This opportunity requires contractors to provide a new asphalt overlay on approximately 2,200 linear feet of existing paved surfaces in Loops A and B, and a mid-loop bypass at the Lees Ferry Campground. The project will increase the paved surface width to 20 feet, add new paved parking spots at restrooms, and create a new paved pull-through parking space at the fee kiosk. The total paved area will be approximately 5,120 square yards. Key deliverables include pulverizing existing asphalt, spreading material for width expansion, and furnishing/applying Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) overlay with a minimum thickness of 3 inches and 1/2 inch aggregate. All work must conform to applicable ASTM and AASHTO standards, and contractors must submit a site-specific Accident Prevention Plan (APP) and ensure equipment is free of invasive seeds and debris.
