INTRODUCTION
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Detroit District is issuing this Sources Sought notice and conducting market research as a means to identify the interest and capabilities of both small and large business entities to provide mechanical dredging and placement construction services of contaminated sediment in the Monguagon Creek Upper Trenton Channel (MCUTC) located in Riverview, Michigan which is situated just south of Bridge Road and the Grosse Ile Toll Bridge.
BASED ON THE RESPONSES TO THIS SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE/MARKET RESEARCH, THIS REQUIREMENT MAY BE SET-ASIDE FOR SMALLBUSINESSES (IN FULL OR IN PART) OR PROCURED THROUGH FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION. All Small Business Set-Aside categories will be considered. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted or acknowledged, and no feedback or evaluations will be provided to companies regarding their submissions.
REQUIREMENT* GLRI-Monguagon Creek-Upper Trenton Channel (MCUTC)
Summary Scope: The contractor will provide all materials, labor, equipment, supervision, and administration as necessary to mechanically dredge and remove contaminated sediment from the Monguagon Creek Upper Trenton Channel (MCUTC), located in Riverview, Michigan. Mechanical placement of dredged material is anticipated to be in Cell 5 of the Pointe Mouillee Confined Disposal Facility (CDF). Work is anticipated to include mobilizing to the project site, mechanical dredging as indicated in project plans, mechanical placement in CDF, and demobilize once complete.

The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is anticipated to be 237990– Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction (Exception), which has a small business size standard of $37M in average annual receipts.
Estimated Magnitude of Construction: between $10M-$20M
Place of Performance: Riverview, Wayne County, Michigan
Both Large and Small Business firms who are interested are encouraged to respond to this Sources Sought Notice.
The intention is to procure these services on a competitive basis and award a single Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) construction contract.
Anticipated solicitation: April/May 2026
Anticipated Period of Performance: 12 Months.
