Statement of Work (SOW)

To remove and replace eight (8) existing vehicle gate systems at the Great Lakes St. Lawrence Seaway Development Corporation (GLS) Eisenhower and Snell Locks with new, fully functional, automatic horizontal cantilever sliding gate and operator systems.

• Provide all labor, materials, equipment, tools, supervision, and incidentals.

• Field verify existing conditions, dimensions, and utility connections for each gate location.

• Remove and dispose of existing gates, operators, controls, and associated hardware.

• Design, fabricate, and install eight (8) new horizontal cantilever sliding gates.

• Install new automatic gate operator systems with required safety, control, and detection devices.

• Perform electrical connections, testing, and commissioning.

• Provide training, documentation, and closeout submittals.

• Gates must open and close smoothly without binding, excessive vibrations, or abnormal noise.

• Gates must meet a minimum speed of 60 ft/min.

• Safety systems must be fully functional (UL 325 compliance verified).

• All detection systems must be operational and tested.

• No exposed sharp edges or hazards.

• System must work under normal and backup power.
