Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

To ensure paved areas, walkways, and landscaping at the Green Mountain and Finger Lakes National Forests Supervisor's Office in Mendon, Vermont, are safe for vehicle and pedestrian traffic, and to maintain a uniform, un-kempt appearance throughout the year.

• Summer Landscaping Maintenance: Includes spring cleanup, maintaining existing landscape grass, herbaceous material, and mulched areas.

• Specific Tasks: Mowing grass to specified heights, trimming grass/herbaceous growth around features, removing gravel, fallen limbs, sod, and debris. Cleaning HVAC intake systems. Weeding and maintaining mulched beds and stone areas. Pruning trees and shrubs annually.

• Seasonal Maintenance: Spring cleanup (debris removal), mulching, weeding, and gravel maintenance. Adding fresh mulch or stone twice a year, matching existing color.

• Grass to be mowed to a height of three inches.

• Grass/herbaceous growth trimmed back three feet from travel surfaces.

• Existing structures and landscaping to be protected from damage.

• If damage occurs, the contractor is responsible for restoration costs.

• Period: Base year plus four option years, beginning on Date of Award to April 19, 2027.
