Quick Summary

The US Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) is conducting market research via a Sources Sought Notice for Ground Organic Loitering Aerial Munition (GOLAM) II / HERO 120 systems. This RFI seeks to identify potential sources capable of providing loitering munitions compatible with Mistral's HERO 120, designed for multi-platform launch and use by Special Operations Forces. Responses are due June 30, 2026.

Purpose & Scope

This Sources Sought Notice is for market research and acquisition planning purposes only, not a solicitation. USSOCOM aims to identify industry partners who can supply GOLAM II / HERO 120 loitering munitions. The systems must be compatible with Mistral's HERO 120, capable of launching from various platforms including land vehicles, watercrafts, and aircrafts, and meet the original GOLAM II program requirements. These munitions are intended for Special Operations Forces (SOF) units for detection, risk assessment, target engagement, irregular warfare, and direct action in combat operations.

Key Requirements

  • GOLAM II Original Requirements: Systems must be lightweight, crew serviceable, capable of high-angle (above 60 degrees) attacks, and feature a separable payload section for safety.
  • Mistral HERO 120 Integration: Vendors must possess the necessary permission, data rights, or authorization to modify the HERO 120 for integration and Engineering Change Proposals without degrading performance.
  • Multi-Platform Launch: The system needs to be man-portable and support launch from land vehicles, watercrafts, and aircrafts.
