GOSP: PURCHASE LOCOMOTIVE FIREWOOD

Scope of Work

The contractor shall furnish and deliver sixty (60) tons of firewood for a steam locomotive at GOSP, with an option for an additional twenty (20) tons. Firewood specifications include:

• Type: Softwoods only (Pine, Redwood, Larch, Cedar, Hemlock, Spruce, Whitewood, Fir).
• Dimensions: Minimum length 2 feet, maximum length 3 feet. Minimum diameter 6 inches, maximum diameter 24 inches.
• Condition: Cut and dried for a minimum of one year, with moisture content not exceeding 15% for individual pieces.
• Delivery: Must be made in a self-unloading vehicle or trailer. Deliveries not meeting specifications or containing excessive debris will be refused. Deliveries will be requested in 10-20 ton increments.

Contract Details

• Contract Type: Firm Fixed Price.
• Period of Performance/Delivery: March 16, 2026, to July 31, 2026. Deliveries must occur no later than one week from the date of request, during hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. MDT, Monday through Friday.
• FOB Point: Destination.
• Delivery Location: Golden Spike National Historical Park, 6200 N. 22300 W., Promontory Summit, UT 84302.
• Pricing: Contractors shall quote a price per ton for both base and optional quantities, inclusive of delivery and fuel surcharges. Payment will be based on actual quantities delivered and accepted, requiring weigh tickets from state-certified scales.

• Evaluation Criteria: Award will be made to the offeror providing the best value based on Price and Technical factors. Technical factors include project specification sheets demonstrating the ability to meet the SOW and delivery timelines. Prior experience may also be considered.
