Purpose & Scope of Work

The objective is to provide minor construction services for the furnishing and installation of a fully operational greenhouse system to support STEM education, sustainability initiatives, and agricultural learning at the school. The scope includes:

  • Furnishing and installing one (1) Gothic Arch School Science Greenhouse Package (or equal), 16'W x 36'L x 8' sidewall height.
  • Complete site preparation, including grading, leveling, and subgrade preparation.
  • Construction of a reinforced concrete slab foundation (minimum 6 inches thick, 3000 PSI concrete).
  • Provision and installation of all required utility connections (electrical, potable water, and LP gas).
  • Full installation, integration, testing, commissioning, and training to deliver a turnkey system. The greenhouse system must include structural steel frame, polycarbonate glazing, ventilation, environmental controls, heating, benches, irrigation, lighting, and a fire extinguisher.

Performance Standards & Requirements

Work must be performed in accordance with manufacturer-provided engineered drawings and installation requirements, ensuring all components are fully integrated and operational without voiding manufacturer warranties. The contractor must demonstrate experience with similar installations and comply with all applicable Tribal, Federal, State, and local laws, regulations, codes, or directives, including NFPA 5000, NEC, IBC, ADAABAAG, OSHA, EPA, and DOI guidelines. The contractor is responsible for providing all labor, materials, and equipment, obtaining permits, waste removal, utility coordination, maintaining a safe work environment, and providing manufacturer warranties plus a minimum 1-year installation warranty. Background investigations will be required for personnel with regular contact with Indian children.

Contract Details

  • Type: Single Firm Fixed-Price Construction Purchase Order.
  • Set-Aside: 100% Indian Small Business Economic Enterprise (ISBEE). Offerors must meet the definitions of an Indian Economic Enterprise (IEE) and an Indian Small Business Economic Enterprise.
