Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

This Statement of Work outlines the requirements for Grit Removal Services at the USCG Yard in Baltimore, MD.

• Provide all personnel, equipment, tools, and supervision for grit removal.

• Remove up to 160 tons of non-hazardous grit, with an option for additional removal.

• Contractor must have the capability to remove 15 tons per day.

• Designated areas for removal include interior of enclosure, scaffolding, ship cradle, walkways, deck of the vessel, surrounding areas, and dust collector dust drums.

• All grit, regardless of condition (including wet and compacted), must be removed.

• Grit must be stored in a Vacuum Box or similar temporary containment, or transported off-site daily.

• Final cleanup of scaffolding to a "broom swept" condition is required.

• Grit removal must meet commercially reasonable standards or specified standards.

• Disposal manifests/bills of lading are required for each truckload and must be signed by the Yard POC.

• Weight tickets from certified commercial scales are required.

• Disposal sites must be authorized non-hazardous grit disposal sites.

• "Broom swept" condition is defined as free of all visible dirt, dust, and debris.

• Period of Performance: 2 consecutive weeks between 06/15/26 to 06/28/26.

• Location: USCG Yard, 2401 Hawkins Point Rd, Baltimore, MD 21226.

• Contractor must attend a Kickoff Meeting (teleconference) within 5 business days of award, unless waived.

• Contractor is responsible for all transportation and proper disposal of grit.

• Written notification to the Environmental Protection Specialist is required for any activity potentially causing an environmental violation.

• If suspected hazardous materials are encountered, work must cease immediately, and POCs must be notified.

• Government will provide material handling services, water, compressed air, and electricity.

• Contractor must provide 48-hour notice for material handling services.

• Contractor is responsible for ensuring compressed air hookup compatibility.

• Contractor must provide a list of personnel requiring base access 24 hours prior to access.

• All personnel require visitor passes and clearance from USCG Yard Security.
