Scope of Work
The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, and supervision necessary for the removal and disposal of up to 160 tons of 80 mesh garnet grit. This includes material removal from the interior of enclosures, scaffolding, ship cradles, walkways, vessel decks, surrounding areas, and dust collector dust drums. All grit, including wet and compacted material, must be removed. The contractor must have the capability to remove 15 tons per day. Grit must be stored in a Vacuum Box or similar temporary containment, or transported off-site daily. Final cleanup of scaffolding to a "broom swept" condition is required. All work must comply with the Coast Guard Yard Statement of Work for Non-Hazardous Grit Removal & Disposal.
