The U.S. Army Contracting Command - Rock Island, on behalf of Rock Island Arsenal-Joint Manufacturing & Technology Center (RIA-JMTC) is issuing a sources sought announcement in an effort to identify capable sources for Gymnasticator Modernization effort.
Description. This Sources Sought is issued Soley for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a Request For Quote (RFQ) or a promise to issue an RFQ in the future. This Sources Sought does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. Further the Army is not at this time seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals.
Background: The Rock Island Arsenal-Joint Manufacturing & Technology Center (RIA-JMTC) has 2 gymnasticators: RIA#34691 model: MG3000 serial#: CB404 (otherwise termed the “Original Gymnasticator”), and RIA#34696 model: MG3000 serial#: 005 (otherwise termed the “2014 Gymnasticator”).
Requirement: The purpose of this project is to upgrade and modernize the control systems of the gymnasticators at RIA-JMTC. The upgrades shall provide the control systems with the ability to deliver real-time test data, positional results, and pass/fail outcomes. This will support, at a minimum, the M1A1, M178/M182, M119, M119A3, M109, and M35 weapons systems. The contractor shall provide labor, material, and reference material to provide upgrades to the existing MG3000 Mechanical Gymnasticators and training at RIA-JMTC.
