In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements, the James A. Haley VA Medical Center intends to negotiate a sole-source award with **Technical Safety Services, LLC**, located at 620 Hearst Ave, Berkeley, CA 94710.
Technical Safety Services LLC is the sole provider authorized to supply and support the replacement of the Medical Gas Preventative Maintenance services currently installed at the facility. Due to the nature of this system, no other vendor is qualified to provide or install compatible replacement components or perform associated repairs without compromising the integrity, certification, and warranty of the system.
Technical Safety Services LLC technicians are factory-trained and certified to carry out repairs and ensure compliance with all federal healthcare facility requirements. Their unique expertise and authorization are necessary to maintain the system's operational reliability, code compliance, and warranty status. Therefore, Technical Safety Services LLC is recommended as the sole source provider for the replacement and repair of the Medical Gas panels and associated system components, ensuring continuity of service, adherence to code, and protection of the system s certification status.
This requirement covers the preventive maintenance and repair (PM&R) of the medical gas panel system at the James A. Haley VA Medical Center, located at **13000 Bruce B. Downs Blvd, Tampa, FL 33612**. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is **541990**, with a size standard of **$19.5 million**.
**This notice of intent is not a request for quotations.** Interested parties that believe they possess the capability and qualifications to meet these requirements may identify their interest and submit capability statements. All submissions must be received no later than **11:00 PM EST on January 9th , 2026**. Information submitted in response to this notice will be provided at no cost or obligation to the Government.Â
No formal solicitation will be issued. Interested parties must submit their information by email to Katrina Tavares, Contracting Officer, at **katrina.tavares@va.gov**. Responses received will be evaluated; however, the Government reserves the right to proceed with the sole-source negotiation with Technical Safety Services LLC if no acceptable responses are received. The determination not to compete this proposed procurement is at the sole discretion of the Government.
