Scope of Work
This requirement covers comprehensive maintenance, inspection, adjustment, calibration, repair, and replacement services for Fire Alarm Systems across multiple buildings (2, 3, 3A, 4, 4A, 5, 13, 14, 15, 65, 68, 83, 88, 90, 93, 120, and 129) at the Central Alabama Veterans Health Care Systems (CAVHCS) Tuskegee Campus. The scope includes:
- Testing of 1,050 smoke detectors, 123 heat detectors, 20 Simplex fire panels, monitor modules, relay modules, strobe lights, and speaker-strobes.
- Maintenance of 6 wet and 11 dry sprinkler systems, and 3 kitchen hood systems.
- All tests and inspections must adhere to the most recent edition of NFPA 72.
- Services include semi-annual inspections, detailed reporting of system conditions and device status (pass/fail, voltage readings), and emergency services with a 4-hour response time and 24-hour repair completion for weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
- Contractor personnel must comply with VA premises rules, regulations, security policies, and undergo background checks.
