Scope of Work
The contractor will provide comprehensive water treatment consultation, including:
- Monthly meetings with chemical contractors and on-site personnel.
- Reviewing all water treatment reports and correspondence.
- Preparing program logs and monthly treatment program reviews.
- Performing additional chemical testing as required.
- Inspecting water treatment equipment.
- Assisting with annual reviews and goal setting.
- Discussing water-related problems and recommending corrective actions.
Areas to be monitored include domestic water softening systems, main chilled water closed loops, main condenser water and towers, O.R. chilled/condenser water, and boiler plant systems (water softener, make-up water, condensate return, steam production) across various buildings at both the East Orange and Lyons campuses.
Key Requirements & Qualifications
Contractor Representative Qualifications:
- Education: BS Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
- Experience (Preferred): Minimum ten years of water treatment consulting experience, with at least five years consulting for VA Medical Centers.
Reporting: Service reports must be signed by both the service provider and the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) upon completion, with an electronic version submitted to the COR.
