Justification & Subcontracting
This contract is being pursued on a sole source basis under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, citing "only one responsible source." The Boeing Company is identified as the sole designer, developer, manufacturer, and integrator of the HII+ Tactical Missiles and its related equipment. Boeing possesses the unique experience, special skills, proprietary technical documentation, software/algorithms, facilities, and manufacturing techniques required to furnish these supplies and services within the necessary timeframe.
While the Government intends to proceed with Boeing, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation for consideration.
