• Base Yards and Staging Areas: These areas must be kept free of invasive pests and may be inspected weekly.
• Cutting Tools: Tools used for cutting trees and branches (especially 'Ōhiʻa) must be sanitized to prevent the spread of ROD. Avoid wounding 'Ōhiʻa trees and treat any cuts with wound sealant.
• Firewood and Logs: Imported firewood, logs, and 'Ōhiʻa parts are restricted. Non-'Ōhiʻa firewood must be sourced from a park-approved site free of pests.
• Field Work: Personal gear and clothing must be inspected and cleaned before and after entering the field.

Inspection Scheduling: Requests for inspections must be made via email at least 3 business days in advance to Kim_Dillman@nps.gov and Stacey_Torigoe@nps.gov, including specific details about vehicles and equipment. Failure to obtain an inspection may result in denial of entrance or removal from the park.
