The Embassy of the United States in Madrid, will release a solicitation for health insurance services for Locally hired employees and retirees of the Embassy of the United States and their eligible family members in Spain.  The estimated number of participants covered by this contract is four hundred and fifty (450).  Please note these are only estimated quantities. The coverages shall be supplemental for those affiliated to the Spanish Social Security. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which will be considered. 

Please note this solicitation is not ready to be issued as of this date. The Embassy of the United States in Madrid, Spain, will launch the solicitation on the SAM.gov website when it is available.

The resultant contract will be a fixed price with economic price adjustment requirements type contract under which firm fixed price task orders will be issued.  The anticipated performance period is for a base year with four one-year option periods.   All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which will be considered. The Government may award the contract based on the initial offer without discussion.

Solicitation requires company registration on www.sam.gov pursuant to FAR provision 5.204-7, and prospective offerors are encouraged to register prior to the submittal of proposals.

A pre-quotation conference is planned, and the solicitation will specify the date for this event.
