Purpose & Scope
This Sources Sought is for market research to identify qualified manufacturers for "Spares Procurement" of the specified Heat Exchanger, Air. The requirement is for the new manufacture of 10 units, encompassing all labor, materials, facilities, and equipment for procurement/manufacture, inspection, testing, preservation/packaging, and shipping. Potential responsibilities also include supply chain management, logistics planning, forecasting production, managing long-lead time parts, and addressing diminishing manufacturing sources. This is a new spares buy and does not include a repair requirement.
Eligibility & Set-Aside
The government is interested in responses from all business sizes and types, including Large Businesses, Small Businesses, Small Disadvantaged Businesses (8(a)s), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses, HUBZone Small Businesses, and Women-Owned Small Businesses. The government will consider a Small Business Set-Aside. The applicable NAICS Code is 336413 (Aircraft Manufacturing) with a size standard of 1,250 employees.
Technical Requirements & Source Approval
Potential sources must be capable of manufacturing the item and are required to complete a Source Approval Request (SAR) package as specified in the Qualification Requirements (QR) for this item. QRs and Engineering Data List (EDL), if applicable, are attached or referenced. Requests for Engineering Drawings should be submitted via email to ocalc.lgldo.public@us.af.mil. SAR packages are to be submitted electronically via DoD SAFE.
Submission Details
Interested sources must select "ADD ME TO INTERESTED VENDORS" on SAM.gov to participate. Responses should include detailed business information such as company name, address, Point of Contact, CAGE code, size standard, and all applicable small business certifications. This is NOT a Request for Proposal (RFP) or solicitation, and no contract will be awarded based on this notice.
