Quick Summary
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS), under the Department of the Interior, is soliciting proposals for mammalian exclusion fence repairs at the Honouliuli unit of Pearl Harbor National Wildlife Refuge in Hawaii. This project involves installing Aquamesh material to address corrosion on the fence skirt. This opportunity is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. Offers are due by February 25, 2026.
Scope of Work
The project requires the installation of Aquamesh material on approximately 750 feet of corroded sections of the mammalian exclusion fence skirt. This includes extending the material at least 6 inches underground and 2 feet out into a soil substrate. Contractors must also clear driftwood, marine debris, and mangroves from seaward sections (approx. 300 feet) to facilitate installation. The Aquamesh material must be secured to the existing fence using PVC board or non-corrodible equivalents and stainless steel screws. Any non-functioning posts must be replaced. All work must avoid disturbance to wildlife and native vegetation. Pre-implementation meetings with refuge staff are required.
