Fit reasons
- NAICS alignment with historical contract wins in similar service areas.
- Scope strongly matches core technical capabilities and delivery model.
Risks
- Past performance thresholds may require one additional teaming partner.
- Potential clarification needed on staffing minimums before bid/no-bid.
Next steps
Validate eligibility requirements, assign capture owner, and schedule partner outreach to confirm teaming strategy before submission planning.
Quick Summary
The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), under the Department of Commerce, is seeking quotations for a Keysight N7747C-STD 2-Channel High Sensitivity Optical Power Meter. This is a brand name only requirement to support the DARPA Quanet phase 2 integration event and NIST's quantum network research. This procurement is a 100% Total Small Business Set-Aside. Quotes are due by June 2, 2026, at 11:00 AM ET.
Scope of Work
NIST requires one new Keysight N7747C-STD 2-Channel fiber optical power meter (OFPM) to characterize optical fiber links for the DARPA Quanet phase 2 integration event. The OFPM will be integrated into an existing quantum network and component measurement suite. It will also assist NIST's research in developing a movable measurement test suite for quantum network components and protocol testing, verification, and characterization. The specific model, Keysight N7747C-STD-2, is required for compatibility with the existing system.
