Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

To remove two existing mooring clusters and install two new steel pipe pilings at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Holden Beach Pavilion area.

• Remove and dispose of two existing mooring clusters off-site, following state and local solid waste disposal regulations.

• Provide and install two 30" Diameter x .750" Wall x 40' steel pilings.

• Cap steel pilings with a welded plate cover.

• Coat the top 30' of steel pilings with 16 mil Coal Tar Epoxy.

• Provide and install two 24" Cleats per piling on top of the Fender crown collar.

• Fill 2/3 of the upper portion of each piling with sand, then 1/3 with concrete.

• Provide and install one Donut Fender per Piling (6' 6” Diameter x 7' Long Marine Guard, Foam Filled Monopile, Flat Heigh Freeboard – 4.0 Feet, Marine Grade Epoxy Painted Steel Core, Black). Fender must have an attached crown collar with mooring cleats.

• Top of new steel pilings shall be 9ft above Mean high water.

• Distance between the center of new steel pilings shall be approximately 73ft.

• Exact new piling locations will be advised by the Technical Point of Contact upon contract award.

• Work must comply with EM 385-1-1, Safety and Occupational Health Requirements (Revision 15-MAR-2024).

• Work must comply with Federal & State Transportation Laws & Regulations.

• Disposal of materials must follow state and local solid waste disposal regulations.
