Scope of Work
CBP requires horizontal pressure autoclaves (sterilizers) to reduce costs associated with material removal by enabling on-site treatment of regulated international waste and quarantine materials at Detroit Field Office Ports of Entry (POEs).
- Quantity: Up to four (4) horizontal 400L capacity sterilizers.

- Three (3) units for the Gordie Howe International Bridge (380 S. Campbell St., Detroit, MI 48209).
- One (1) unit for the Area Port of Port Huron Bluewater Bridge (2321 Pine Grove Avenue, Port Huron, MI 48080).
- Technical Requirements: Sterilizers must be capable of heating regulated garbage to an internal temperature of 212°F (100°C) and maintaining it for 30 minutes. They must include a built-in, automatic time and chamber temperature data logger/recorder with a method to print or save data. Sterilizers should connect to existing water supplies and operate on at least a 220V power supply.
