Scope of Work
Contractors must manufacture the hose assemblies in accordance with NAVSEA Drawing numbers 6640965 (assembly 319) and 6640819, and Electric Boat Specification 3461. Key requirements include:
- Hydrostatic Testing: Required per Note A/B of drawing 6640965 sheet 319, with specific pressure and time tolerances. A Certificate of Compliance (C of C) is needed for this test.
- Materials: Non-metallic materials must satisfy toxicity and flammability requirements of NAVSEA SS800-AG-MAN-010/P-9290. Specific items (319-1 and 319-2) must be MIL-H-24136 and MIL-F-24787 qualified, respectively.
- Lubrication: Must use MIL-PRF-27617 Type III lubricants (Krytox 240AC, Christo-Lube 111, or Christo-Lube 116).
- Cleaning: In accordance with MIL-STD-1622.
- Off-Gassing Analysis: Required per NAVSEA SS800-AG-MAN-010/P-9290A, Appendix F, to be conducted by one of four specified authorized labs. Odor testing is required prior to shipment to the lab.
- Mercury Free: Materials must be free of mercury and mercury-containing compounds.
