The item is made of stainless steel and is applicable to the F100 engine. It is designated as a Critical Safety Item and involves Foreign Military Sales (FMS).
Key Requirements
Offerors must submit quotes for two bids:
- Bid A (First Article Required): Includes 1 LO FA Test Plan, 1 LO FA Test Report, 1 Each FA (expended in testing), 2 Each FA (in addition to production quantity), and 23 Each Production Quantity.
- Bid B (No First Article Required): Requires 25 Each Production Quantity.
- Unique Item Identification (UID) is required, with Construct 2 (Issuing Agency Code, Enterprise Identification, Original Part Number, and Serial Number) preferred.
- Contractors who have furnished parts to the DoD within the past 36 months may request a waiver for the First Article requirement, subject to engineer approval.
- The Buy American Act/Balance of Payments Program applies.
