The requirement is for professional Spanish-to-English translation services for the Foreign Affairs Office (FAO) of the USIBWC, with occasional English-to-Spanish translations. Key tasks include:

  • Translating approximately 32,200 words per month from Spanish to English, covering official, technical, legal, engineering, and scientific documents.
  • Reproducing original document layouts and managing translated documents via email and Excel logs.
  • Utilizing FAO-provided MemoQ translation memory and GovCraft machine translation plugin, ensuring human review of all machine-assisted translations.
  • Participating in weekly staff and quarterly binational webinar meetings.
  • Maintaining strict confidentiality for all translated documents. Work will be performed remotely by no more than two qualified translators with documented experience and subject matter expertise in translation tools. Personnel must complete a NonSensitive Public Trust background investigation.
