Fit reasons
- NAICS alignment with historical contract wins in similar service areas.
- Scope strongly matches core technical capabilities and delivery model.
Risks
- Past performance thresholds may require one additional teaming partner.
- Potential clarification needed on staffing minimums before bid/no-bid.
Next steps
Validate eligibility requirements, assign capture owner, and schedule partner outreach to confirm teaming strategy before submission planning.
Argonne National Laboratory is seeking quotations for the supply of a humanoid mobile robot system that meets the technical and compliance requirements described below.
Required Specifications:
- Form Factor: Humanoid robot with mobile base, human-like torso, and dual arms (bimanual manipulation capability)
- Payload Capacity: Minimum 3 kg per arm
- Degrees of Freedom: 7-DoF bio-inspired arms for human-like manipulation
- Mobile Base: Omnidirectional mobile base with LiDAR for autonomous navigation
- Software Requirements:
- VR teleoperation capabilities (critical for our data collection workflow)
- ROS2 compatibility (our standard robotics framework)
- NVIDIA Isaac Sim integration (required for our AI/simulation pipeline)
- Python SDK for programming and AI integration
- Open-source software stack (essential for research flexibility and customization)
- Manufacturing Origin: Non-Chinese manufactured (DOE requirement/restriction)
- Open-Source Hardware: Critical for our research needs and custom modifications
Items must be non-Chinese manufactured, and offerings that comply with the Buy American Act or are domestically produced are strongly preferred. Open-source hardware is critical for Argonne’s research use; suppliers must be able to provide sufficient design openness to enable custom modifications and integrations. Interested vendors are requested to respond with a completed and signed ANL-70 Request for Quotation, ANL-70B Representations and Certifications, price justification, country of origin and best achievable lead time, no later than Wednesday, December 17th, 2025 at 12:00 noon CDT. We look forward to your submission and your support of Argonne’s research efforts.
