Quick Summary
The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), specifically the Nanoscale Device Characterization Division (NDCD), is soliciting quotations for a custom high-vacuum chamber system. This system will house new experimental apparatus for measuring nanoscale patterned features in semiconductor chips, supporting the American semiconductor industry. This is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. Quotations are due by April 8, 2026, at 12:00 PM EST.
Scope of Work
The contractor shall provide a new custom high-vacuum chamber system, including a top endpiece (aluminum), chamber body (stainless steel), bottom endpiece (aluminum), gaskets, blank flanges, and hardware. The chamber must achieve high vacuum (leak-tight to 1 x 10-9 Torr·L/s, reaching < 7.5 x 10-7 Torr) and accommodate specific port configurations. An optional hinged door is also requested, which would replace seven ISO 160 ports on the top flange. Detailed 3D CAD drawings must be provided for NIST approval prior to manufacturing. All components must be new, and "gray market" items are not acceptable.
