Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

To obtain and install a complete operational Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) heat pump system for the Wild Fish Building at White Sulphur Springs National Fish Hatchery (WSS NFH) and to completely remove the existing HVAC system.

• Remove and dispose of the existing HVAC system, including outdoor units, indoor units, and associated ducting. Existing equipment pads and exterior building penetrations may be reused.

• Install a new Carrier VRF system (or approved equal) consisting of two outdoor units and a minimum of eight indoor units, sized appropriately for the building's spaces.

• All new components, including piping, controllers, and condensate pumps, must be installed according to manufacturer instructions and applicable codes.

• Refrigerant piping must be new and covered with one-inch Armaflex insulation.

• Outdoor units must be raised at least four inches above existing pads.

• Full port isolation valves are required at branch selectors and outdoor units.

• New thermostats/controllers are to be wall-mounted; no handheld remotes.
