Statement of Work (SOW)

This Statement of Work outlines the requirements for machining the seal track on the Forward ICCS Cab Hatch.

• Provide all necessary material and equipment to machine the Forward ICCS Cab Hatch seal track.

• The machining will include the 2.63-inch horizontal surface and the upper part of the 0.25-inch INBD radius.

• Machine the HSLA-100 track to a maximum depth of 0.063" +/- 1/32" on the horizontal surface.

• Achieve a width of 2.63" with a surface finish of 250 rms.

• Break all edges to leave no sharp corners.

• Machine smooth the entire seal track, transitioning from vertical to horizontal as required.

• Clean all machining debris upon completion.

• Maintain existing installed horizontal flatness (+/- 0.04" over 36 IN) of hatch seal track.

• Surface finish of 250 rms.

• Dimensional tolerances as per attached Figure 2.

• Period of Performance: August 8, 2026 to January 1, 2027 (estimated).

• Locations: Naval Station Norfolk, VA or Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, VA.

• Contractor must comply with Federal and State OSHA requirements, NNSY OSHE Program Manual, and OSHE Control Manual.

• Hazardous Energy Control (HEC) procedures must be followed.

• Contractor must provide Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) documentation.

• NNSY will perform tightness testing to ensure a watertight seal.

• Contractors will require a DBIDS card for access to NNSY.

• Restrictions apply to Portable Electronic Devices (PEDs) within certain areas.
