Quick Summary
The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Geology, Energy & Minerals Science Center (GEMSC) is soliciting quotations for an ICDD DATABASE LICENSE. This requirement is for a standalone server license for a powder diffraction database and associated analysis software, to be delivered to Troy, NY. This is a Solicitation (RFQ) 140G0126Q0170. Quotations are due by June 8, 2026.
Scope of Work
The USGS GEMSC requires a floating database server license with unlimited PC workstations, allowing simultaneous access for up to 10 concurrent users. The database must contain independently verified powder diffraction data, including characteristic interplanar spacings, relative intensities, and mineral physical/crystallographic properties for over 400,000 inorganic and 500,000 organic materials. The associated diffraction data analysis software must support searchable mineralogical phase identification, batch processing for Rietveld refinement, pattern indexing, Rietveld structural refinement, and cluster analysis, operating independently from diffractometer hardware. Annual renewals are expected at a lower cost.
