This Invitation for Bid (IFB) is for the one-time sale of approximately 7,500 lbs. of Spent Lead Acid Batteries (SLABs) located at Seymour Johnson AFB, NC. The batteries are managed as RCRA exempt and are sold solely for the purpose of reclamation.

• Purchaser must demonstrate the ability to comply with all local, state, and federal laws governing battery recycling.

• Intent to export batteries outside the U.S. for reclamation is not authorized.

• Purchaser must provide signed return copies of the Land Disposal Restriction (LDR) destination shipping document from all interim facilities and the end reclamation recycler within 30 days of shipment.

• Purchaser must assign a shipping paperwork number and input it into the LDR destination shipping document at time of removal.

• The material is classified as UN2794 Batteries, Wet, Filled w/ Acid, DoT Haz 8, PG III.

• The minimum guaranteed quantity is 6,500 lbs, with a maximum allowed quantity of 10,000 lbs.

• This is a firm fixed price Public Sales contract.

• The contract period for removal is 20 business days, with potential for extension.
