Quick Summary
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) – NIEHS Office of Scientific Computing has issued a Special Notice indicating its intent to procure iLab Management Software on a sole-source basis from Agilent Technologies. This software is crucial for equipment scheduling and auditing intramural utilization of core services. While a sole-source action is intended, interested parties may submit capabilities or quotations. Responses are due by May 21, 2026.
Scope of Work
The requirement is for a subscription to iLab Core Facilities Management Software. This platform facilitates equipment scheduling and usage reporting for the NIEHS Quality Assurance Laboratory, Fluorescence Microscopy, Flow Cytometry, and Neurobehavioral Core Facilities. Agilent iLab has been identified as a cost-effective, commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) solution that has successfully provided scheduling and auditing capabilities for several years, offering significant savings over custom-developed alternatives. Losing access would disrupt laboratory scheduling and reduce accessibility of core facility instruments for NIEHS intramural researchers.
