This item is SOLE SOURCED TO Renk America LLC CAGE CODE: 02978

THE DUE DATE IS ON OR ABOUT  May 25 2025 (SEE SOLICITATION FOR ACTUAL DUE DATE).  THE SOLICITATION WILL INSTRUCT HOW TO OBTAIN DRAWINGS.  ALL RESPONSIBLE SOURCES MAY SUBMIT AN OFFER WHICH WILL BE CONSIDERED.  The cooling fans are critical components of a highly specialized AVDS-1790 diesel engine assembly which operates in a unique military weapons system. The design of the cooling fans are uniquely designed to fit atop of the valley of the AVDS-1790’s V12-cylinder arrangement and align with the shaft which drives its operation without interference with the cylinder head assemblies or the adjacent cooling fan (qty. 2 per engine). Development of a similar item would also be required to fit within this unique space claim without interference with existing components collocated within the valley of the engine. The cooling fan also needs to be capable of surviving the high temperature environment when installed on the AVDS-1790 engines under full load operating conditions at high rpm, since the temperatures of the air-cooled diesel are substantial. The cooling fan would also be
required to have the proper blade pitch, stand-off and diameter to optimize air-flow and ultimately satisfy the cooling requirements of both the 2-series and 8CR variants of the AVDS-1790 engine. Only the identified source, Renk America LLC, has repeatedly demonstrated the requisite technical and engineering expertise to meet all mechanical and performance requirements called out in the technical data package.
