Scope of Work

The MAC IDIQ will cover discrete production, non-discrete production, and other production work. This includes efforts such as preservation, structural/non-destructive testing (NDT), shipboard work, electrical services, fire/tank watch, component repair, and engineering/technical support. The requirements are categorized into two tiers:

• Critical (Lot 1): Involves critical systems (e.g., Vertical Launch System, ship control, torpedo tubes). This tier is intended for full and open competition and requires contractors with extensive capability and experience to manage multiple concurrent complex CNO availabilities.
• Non-Critical (Lot 2): Involves systems not classified as critical. This tier is intended as a small business set-aside under NAICS code 336611 and requires fewer specialized capabilities.

This sources sought notice specifically addresses:

1. Rolling admissions for the existing SSN MAC IDIQ (N00024-25-R-4321).
2. New scope for SSBNs and SSGNs at various locations.
3. New scope for SSNs at Trident Refit Facilities, New London, and Point Loma.

Contract & Timeline

• Type: Sources Sought / Market Research for a future MAC IDIQ.
• Set-Aside: Partial Small Business Set-Aside (Lot 2). Lot 1 is full and open.
• Response Due: February 27, 2026, 22:00 UTC.
• Published: February 2, 2026.
• The anticipated MAC IDIQ will feature a four-year base ordering period and three additional option years.

Submission Requirements

Interested parties must submit an expression of interest on company letterhead via email to the listed points of contact. Responses are limited to 10 pages (excluding cover page) with a minimum 10-point font. Submissions must include:

• Company name, CAGE Code, UEI, POC, website, and small business designation (for NAICS 336611).
• Number of employees.
• Specific work categories/Lots (1 or 2) and requirements (1, 2, or 3) of interest.
• Examples of relevant and recent (within three years) past performance, including details on project type, dollar value, location, and prime/subcontractor roles. Experience on nuclear-powered submarines is preferred, but other Government/private industry projects with explanations are accepted.
• Details on any joint venture or teaming arrangements, including member names, business size, and intended roles.
• Current facility and personnel security clearance levels.
• Ability to meet Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Level 2 via independent assessment.
