Quick Summary
The United States Coast Guard (USCG), specifically the Aviation Logistics Center (ALC), is conducting market research through a Sources Sought notice to identify potential sources for an Industrial Grade 3D Printer. The USCG seeks a Stratasys F3300 System with an Aircraft Interior Certification Solutions package to replace an aging Stratasys F450. Responses are due by June 5, 2026, at 2:00 PM EDT.
Scope of Work
The USCG requires a 3D printer capable of utilizing Interior Aircraft Certified ULTEM 9085 resin for large format additive manufacturing. This resin is mandated by ALC Engineering Specification GEN05000.05A to meet FAA flame, smoke, and toxicity standards, and ULTEM 9085 is currently the only certified thermoplastic. The printer must have a building envelope of 23.6” x 23.6” x 31.5”. The F3300 system is preferred due to its compatibility with existing software and licensing, eliminating the need for new software which would significantly increase costs. Potential sources must be Stratasys Inc., an approved source, or an authorized distributor of Stratasys, Inc. (Cage Code: 1GKB4).
